Greg has spent 25+ years in Silicon Valley building and automating infrastructure for startups and established brands. His career reads like a timeline of the modern internet: from early-stage startups (Nebula, OnLive, Avvenu, Mediaplex, SpeedEra) to category-defining platforms (SilverSpring Networks, 8x8, Upwork).

Most recently, he was a Principal Engineer and manager at Upwork, where he founded and led the Experience Health Management team focused on Customer Experience Monitoring for one of the world's largest freelance platforms.

His technical toolbox is deep: AWS (EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, Lambda) and OpenStack for cloud; Grafana, Prometheus, DataDog, PagerDuty, and Splunk for observability; Chef, Puppet, Ansible, and Terraform for config management; Docker and Kubernetes for containers. He writes primarily in Python, with Ruby, Java, Perl, PHP, Shell, and SQL rounding out the arsenal.

The thread connecting all of it: Greg has been automating systems his entire career. He just uses AI agents now instead of scripts and config management. The same principles — observability, reliability, human-in-the-loop safety — apply whether you're managing a distributed cluster or deploying an AI employee.

After years of consulting on AI and cloud strategy, Greg saw the same pattern everywhere: small and mid-size businesses drowning in manual work that large enterprises had automated years ago. The tools existed, but nobody was building the bridges. So he started building them. Raging Network Services was born from a simple idea: enterprise-grade automation shouldn't require an enterprise-grade budget or an in-house engineering team.
